Volkswagen Racing Adjustable Front Anti Roll Bar Drop Link Kit VWR-VWR42G500 Upgrade your factory front suspension with the VWR Adjustable Drop Links. These were developed for the race cars to allow us to lower the ride heights yet keep the preload on the VWR Anti Roll Bar even. Additionally, by removing the soft rubber bushing from the factory links, cornering responses are sharpened. This is an ideal upgrade for all cars running lowered suspension and/or uprated Anti Roll Bars. A true race-car part, but with no compromise in daily driving. Left / Right threaded ends make for easy length adjustment to eliminate preload and adjust the link length when changing between adjustment holes on the Volkswagen Racing Anti Roll Bar. Solid aerospace-quality rose joint ends replace the rubber bushing in the factory joint, so there is no compliance giving a direct connection to the anti roll bar. This can be felt through sharper turn in. The Volkswagen Racing Adjustable Drop Links are a very universal product as they are fully compatible with any suspension and any anti roll bar products, not just the Volkswagen Racing upgrades. LH and RH thread Heat treated steel, Nickel plated high polish finish stainless steel insert with PTFE liner boned to the inner surface roller ball bearing Hardened and hard chrome plated maintenance free. WHAT IS A DROP LINK? A drop link is a long bar that is used to attach the front anti roll bar ends to the brackets on the front shock absorber on most modern cars. On a lowered car, these fixed-length factory links push the anti roll bar ends down, and force the link to sit at a sharper angle. Design Performance drop-links such as the Volkswagen Racing links utilise heavy duty steel ball joint ends that adjust & rotate to any angular combination. The light weight aluminium bodies (made from CNC Machined 7075 Aluminum) are finished in a beautiful anodised grey-blue coating. The links provide 30mm centre to centre length adjustment. The link lengths are 300mm – 330mm (stock is 330mm). The ball joint ends are the highest quality motorsport-specification heat treated nickel-plated steel, with high polish finish stainless steel inserts. The joints themselves have a PTFE liner bonded to the inner surface with hardened and hard chrome-plated maintenance free roller ball bearings. The links themselves have LH and RH thread at alternate ends. For serious track use, the adjustment is used to fine tune the anti roll bar preload once the car is corner-weighted. Application The Volkswagen Racing Adjustable Drop Links have been developed via our race programme exclusively for the A5-platform VW Group cars such as Golf 5 & 6, Scirocco, A3, S3, Leon and Octavia. The Volkswagen Adjustable Drop Links have been designed to work with all of Volkswagen Racing’s coilover suspension systems, and also with Volkswagen Racing's Anti Roll Bars. However, the Volkswagen Drop Links will also work with any suspension kit and even the factory dampers. Plus they will work with any anti roll bars, whether factory or uprated.
